The Time Has Come!

The Time Has Come!

I hadn’t updated this site in ages. The time has come to start posting again.

Now that I’m leaving Happy Hollow to return for the summer to Nova Scotia again after a 3 year hiatus due to border closures due to Covid, I realized that content I amassed during that time needed to be shared.

Having been given the opportunity of being here again all summer to document the meadow, and all of Happy Hollow, through it’s changes with the seasons was wonderful. I took full advantage of being here to enjoy what I have ‘created’ here over many years. I put ‘created’ in quotes because nature created it, I simply allowed it to by my not artificially mowing it all down and keeping a commercially advocated manicured green carpet called a lawn.

I took my usual 100s of photos a day, 1000s over the past couple years. Especially of the meadow in bloom which was always the part of being here I missed most. It was the heat and humidity that I didn’t miss. And why I started going to Nova Scotia for summer/early fall in the first place.

I’d planned to do this once I got up there and had lots of time on my hands. But the humidity is already hideous today, so no time like the present to start a new massive project that will consume me for months and keep me from doing things I should be doing.

My first offering, of many to come, is one of my videos of the meadow in its Fall bloom. September 30, 2020 I think, or thereabouts.

more to come…

Spread the love
